Hi Liz
Thanks alot for your post! I think the headaches may be due to tension, I had a massage yesterday but the therapist said I wasnt particularly tense although I was carrying some on my shoulders. I have been taking beta blockers for a week now, which do help me get some sleep but I am still extremely anxious. Do you have experience of having such persitance headaches? I am just worried because they have lasted so long but I feel as though there is no point visiting another doctor when I have seen 4 now! The pain has now seemed to localise behind my eyes and down the side of my face towards my ears.
Thanks for ur post
Gill
Just thought id let you know how im getting on. I had my ct scan last week, results came back normal...as well as the results for the blood supply to the brain so that was a huge relief. Needless to say I am still suffering with my headaches, although these are less severe now and located mainy around the eyes and towards the ear. The doctor did pick up that the bone at the top of nose is bent which may be causing some of the pain around my eyes as it is mainly the left eye I have trouble with. I am begining to edge towards the tension headache senario as it just feels like a tight band not only around the head but neck and shoulders aswell.
Ive taken some steps to address my anxiety too. I've started seeing a councellor once a week now as I knew that if the ct came back normal then I would need to face up the fact that these headaches may be tension caused or made worse my my anxiety (which I have struggled with over the years, even though im only 22). Anyway i struggle onwards atleast im ruling more things out as I go along.
How are things with you? Hope your keeping well
