Hey. I am 16 years old, and the last 2/3 years, I get this wierd feeling.
The first year or so, it only occured a few times a month, but in the last year it happens near enough every day, and i'm a little concerned.
Basically, this is what I get:
-Dizziness
-Numb face
-Hot/cold feeling on my face
-Temporary loss of sight (but can still see white dots/lights)
-Loss of balance
-Loss of breath
-Pain in my head/eyes
-Weakness
-Fatigue
-And sometimes I feel like I'm not there

Sometimes, it only lasts about 5 seconds, other times it lasts upto 30 seconds.
At first, I thought that they are probably migraines, but migraines are meant to last a few hours, right?
And migraines shouldnt occur everyday.

If this helps? :
-I am 16
-5 ft 2, 7 stone 4 pounds
-I have no disabilities or conditions
-I dont drink much alcohol
-I dont smoke or do drugs

I am booking a doctors appointment for tuesday, but any replies will be seriously appreciated. Thanks (:

Hi! You might get symptoms like that with Basilar Migraines. The symptoms are so
out side the box that if the nero doesn't know a lot about this type of migraine it
will take a while to get diagnosed. But seriously you need to see a neurologist for
this problem....Good Luck, Tee yeah

Ah....I have gotten all of those symptoms at one time or another with my migraines...but I must say I don't get them all at the same time.  You are at that age where for the onset of migraines can begin with hormonal development.  My doc says I can look forward to relief perhaps at menopause.....lol...great!  I acutally had a complex migraine once which landed me in the Emergency Room, they thought I was having a stroke, visual impairment, half body numbness on one complete side,  I could not stand or walk....it was pretty scary.

But seriously, yes..you should see a doctor, and preferably, if you can jump right in with a headache specialist neurologist if your regular doc wants you to get to a specialist, I would just start there.  Save you some time, tests, and referals.  Don't panic..just get to the right folks from the get go is all I am saying tongue    Take care and post here with your questions. I am a new member here but I have been lurking for months and there are some great folks here with great advice!
