Having suffered with Migraine since I was a young child I have come to recognise several type of headaches and have even identified what causes my migraine.
As women will know Pre- menstrual migraines are very common.
One sign that I observed was that my gold jewellery went very dull up to 48 hours before I would get a headache.
Another one which is definitely a sign is that one gets unbelievably tired up to 48 hours before the onset of a headache and often wonder why one is feeling so tired.
Generally also the top vertebrae at the back of the neck can be extremely painful to touch which I found to be very true and then discovered that my spine was out of alignment so a visit to an american chiropractor here in Ireland has really helped me and my headaches are very rare now thank goodness!
Definitely as the change of seasons comes about I find that headaches increase..always around september and october and again in the spring months....Possibly due to a change in the air temperatures?
My science professor in college noticed I was missing a lot of lectures back in the 70's and he gave me a remedy which really worked and of which I have passed on to many folks over the years so if it works for you and it's non harmful I would give it a try!
12 Vit B6 complex tablets daily along with 3 Rubex (Vit C) 4 Dolomite (found in herbal shops) 3 Calcium Lactate & 4 Halibut Liver Oil Capsules.
I took these daily for a few months and my migraines disappeared totally! Several other folks who tried this remedy and were daily sufferers of migraine also found this remedy to be brilliant.
Bright flashing lights also triggers a headache so I wore ski glasses as they had complete coverage of the eye and this helped too! I find that most migraine sufferers also experience problems with bright lights and extreme glare for the sun.
Lastly several of my sisters also suffer from migraine...one found that the Pill (women) triggered her headaches. Another sister knows that Red Wine, Cauliflower, Cheese and Chocolate triggers her headaches! Excessive drinking of Concentrate Orange Juice drinking can also trigger a headache!
Constipation is another trigger for a blinding headache.
When a headache is starting with flashing yellow spots and stars in my eyes I go into Yoga Mode and do the Yoga relaxation exercises and this really helps!
I don't take any medication now for a migraine unless it has really got out of control and then I take a Soluble Solpadeine. I was on so many types of meds over the years and none of them were helping me so decided to give my Liver a break as these meds were not doing me anygood!...But then I have an extremely high pain threshold so if you're migraines are very bad (and what migraine isn't bad?) talk to your doctor or go pay a visit to a good reputable Chiropractor and also maybe try Acupuncture as it works also!
I hope this helps any migraine sufferers out there as I wouldn't wish Migraines on anybody!
