I love love love to be out in the sun and water with my family!! (Living in Minnesota makes for a lonnnnnng winter)!!

My sister and hubby just built a summer lake home about an hour away from here up in Northern Minnesota that my kids and I frequent as often as humanly possible. We go up there and they swim like fishes all day, go tubing, waterskiing, fishing, ride the wave runners, go on the paddle boat, and live a kid's summer dream!!

Me...I'd love to say I do all of that with them....BUT for now watching them do all of the above is what I love to do. As most moms out there....if our kids are happy....we are happy......(remind me I said the "happy" part if I'm ever ranting about my headaches on an upcoming post)!! tee hee!!

Thanks for the post Sara....it's so nice to be up at 1:01 in the morn and be able to focus on something positive and fun!!

I AGREE! I noticed after being around a few people this weekend who FOCUS on the bad/pain that we all need to say good things and think about the things we do have :-)

Seeing friends is really important to be because I've had to cancel plans so much in recent years. I also let to get outside on a nice day and enjoy some part of nature, though physical activity in general is now something that I've been focusing on doing regardless of how I feel. I do enjoy walking on the treadmill at the gym a lot more when I'm not having unbearable pain and I tend to feel better afterward too. But I do it even with a really horrible pain level because it's vital to my health, though I end up suffering afterward for quite a while when I exercise in pain.

Hey Ben...
What kinds of things do you enjoy doing with your friends?

I have found that most of my friends are in a different stage in life right now and so our old outings are no longer something I can (or want) to do (clubs, drinking, staying out extremely late etc)
Before I got married and had baby I felt like I missed out on a lot of friend time too!

I'm a quilter, so if I'm not sewing, I'm buying fabric or thinking of patterns.
Spending time with my Husband, my best friend!
Being on the beach, any beach!! love it (of course living in Michigan helps, no matter where you are you're only 80 miles from one of the big lakes and you're never more than 7 miles from an inland lake!)
My sons live in AZ and CA, so talking to them is wonderful at any time!
Spending time with my cousins, fun, fun, fun!
Working out with my Trainer, who knew working out could feel so good!?

Hi Janice!!!
ohhh, I wish you lived closer! I want to learn how to sew and crochet...I'm not sure when I decided that but just woke up one day wanting to master something else :-)

Isn't it nice to have your husband be your best friend? I adore my sweet little husband!!!
