Just wondering if anyone has ever tried this or any other method of aborting a migraine. My Neurologist recommended this a few years back. I've had a good rate of success with this concoction! He called it the Excederine Cocktail! I would urge anyone to consult their doctor before using this method, as it may not be safe for everyone to try. Also, it is only effective in aborting the migraine. Once you are full into the migraine, it is useless. It is necessary to take this Excederine Cocktail immediately when you begin to experience early feelings of your HA coming on.

Excederine Cocktail:
1000 milligram Acetaminophen
800 milligrams Ibuprofen
Take with a full can or bottle of Mt. Dew or any other High caffeine drink of your choice. Drink quickly.

This has been a HUGE relief for me many times. I would highly recommend it- with your doctors approval! :-)

I have never heard these specific amounts. Excedrin Migraine is acetaminophen 200 mg, aspirin 250 mg, caffeine 65 mg. I agree, its a good idea to ask your doctor before trying this. Also, if Excedrin Migraine cause lead to rebounds this "cocktail" certain may as well.

Thanks for the info!
