I know there are several people on here who also experience head pressure.  I was diagnosed with NDPH about a year ago.  I have suffered from this daily headache for the past 17 months.  I also have are horrible neck/shoulder pain.  I have tried every medication in the book... fioricet, midrin, doxycyline, nortriptyline, amytriptyline, steriods, antibiotics, massage therapy, accupuncture, chiropractor... nothing... no relief from anything.  My head pain is usually a 7/10 most days & it is getting very hard to handle. I work full time & have two children at home. Since my headache started I have not been able to exercise (the pain increases) and sometimes it is hard just to get through the day. I just don't understand why there isn't a cure or help for those of us with this constant pressure. Has anyone been diagnosed with Lyme disease? I was tested through Igenex and my test was negative. I did see a Lyme specialist who diagnosed me clinically with having Lyme because of my symptoms & the bands I did have positive. Lyme is so secretive & I am wondering if I even have it.  I spent $900 for a doctor to give me 10 different prescriptions for antibiotics. I am almost out of pills & do not feel ANY better. I just don't know what to do anymore.  UGH!!  Sorry for ranting... I just needed to vent. sad

I hear you. Sounds like I wrote that. My headaches have been going on for 10 years. Presently the headache has been there the last year and a half. 9-10/10. I have gone the orthodontic route for TMJ but that shouldn't be the problem now. i too have done all kinds of treatments. Right now I am seeing an osteopath. He says it could be due to my posture. He is working on lengthening muscles etc. Also am working with a new orthodontist with mouthguards to correct my bite etc. Will need braces again. Have you had MRI, CT scan done? Seen a pain management dr. ? I am getting nerve blocks done as well. Have you tried stronger pain meds? For me nothing works, absolutely nothing. I have been on sick leave for over a year now. And still nowhere better than one year ago. Google TMJ and see if you have any of the symptoms.
Sorry I am not any help. i am in the same boat as you are and still looking for answers.
Hopefully someone will come along and help both of us.

Yes, I have had an MRI, CT scan, lumbar puncture and every other test imaginable. They haven't found anything. I did see a chiropractor & physical therapist who thought it could be my posture. Turned out that wasn't it. I did also see someone about my teeth/tmj & was told that they are fine. My neurologist hospitalized me for a week & tried to 'break' my headache with iv coctails... they didn't work either. They sent me home with a prescription for vicodin & told me to take them every four hours. Well I took one and could barely function! I decided not to go that route & haven't taken them since. I need to be able to function all day at work & at home for my kids. The only thing I haven't done is see a pain management doctor. I am just so frusterated because I want to find the problem... not learn to live with it. :) I guess I just need to change my mindset. I don't know how you have done this for 10 years!! I am so sorry that you are dealing with this same pain. :(

I understand that your TMJ/teeth were determined to be "fine." Who determined that? You need relief. What sort of dentist did you visit? I've heard numerous stories akin to yours. You should take a look at theheadacheremedy.com for information about the NTI. Oftentimes symptoms are misinterpreted & misdiagnosis occurs. I read that over 80% of medically diagnosed migraine sufferers that wore an NTI had a 77% reduction in events. Worth checking out. No side effects. You've been suffering for 10 years!?! I wish you luck.

I just got an NTI. I pray it works. I feel like there isn't much else for me to try.

Please keep me posted. If you experience any problems with your NTI, notify your dentist immediately.
