Hi

I have had a headache for about a week now and today I have had a dizzy spell and bleared vision, I have had all this before about 10 years ago just 6 weeks after having my first son, and ended up losing my sight for about 4 weeks, but back then all the above happened in a 24hr period... I have an appointment with the Dr tomorrow but they didn't know back then what was wrong they just said it was me!! Can any one help me I'm so scared that I will wake up in the morning and not be able to see again... !!!!

I just happen to catch this as I don't post on this board.  ( I hope no one minds me crashing )  You need to see a neurologist and you need to get an MRI.  I wouldn't go in there saying, "Please check me for (a certain disease) as doctors are put off by this, but you need to consider Multiple Sclerosis.  I am certainly not saying you have this, but in MS it is quite common to have symptoms just after the birth of a child.  While you are pregnant, estrogen is neuro protective in MS.  As those hormones taper off after birth, many with MS have a flare.  You have described it near perfectly.

Your symptoms of blurred vision, headache and dizziness are all classic MS symptoms.  Over 50% of people diagnosed with MS have temprorary blindness as their first issue.  Most people are diagnosed with "relapsing remitting MS".  That means it is quiet for a while then flares up.  It is possible to have a ten year remssion.  You need to carefully document all symptoms since that time of losing your vision.  Bring that symptom history to a neurologist.  If you have a local MS Society, you can call and get the name of an MS specialist in your area.

Common symptoms of MS are: numbness and tingling, balance problems, bladder and bowel issues, mental fogginess, blurred vision, double vision, nystagmus, muscle spasticity, headaches, tremors, muscle weakness and fatigue.

I am not a doctor and I obviously can't diagnose you but your symptoms are earily familar.  Please see a doctor right away.  Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
