When I awoke yesterday, I had a mild headache, located around my left eye.  The hair on my head was sensitive to touch but not painfully so.

I took two Ibus and went about my day reading my accounting text as I am currently unemployed and taking online courses to finish my degree, I spent about 2.5 hours on my homework.

I had a powdered C drink in water and a whole grain bagel/butter for breakfast.  Though I still had the headache my wife and I went out to shop as it was a beautiful day.  While at the hardware store I got light-headed so I went outside to eat my turkey sandwich as I thought I might need the protein.  It did make me feel better so we continued our shopping and then went home.

I took some allergy tylenol thinking that maybe my headache was related to sinus issues, though I rarely have them, I could feel the pain in my left upper sinus cavity.

My wife and I had homemade healthy pizza (spelt flower and veggies some meat) for dinner while watching DvDs.  I was playing World of Warcraft on my laptop for about 2 hours and then my headache got worse so I closed my eyes and tried to sleep, this was at about 8pm.

My wife was reading as this was in our living room and then shut off the lights to let me try and sleep.  Oh I forgot to mention that my heart was racing at times but I do have anxiety and have been taking Xanax since 2004, though more frequently in the past year (4-5 nights a week).

I went to sleep with her in the bedroom at 9:30pm.  It took me about an hour to fall asleep, heart racing from anxiety and headache stuff.  I awoke at 2:30am and went to file for my unemployment as it is easier to do so in the early morning hours.  I could not fall back to sleep as my headache returned and so did insomnia.  I took some more Allergy Tylenol and finally did fall asleep around 6am.
Though I awoke briefly two times I slept until about 9:15am.  When I awoke I still had a faint headache, it felt like a hangover.

My wife went to church while I took a C-drink and made some fresh juice (carrot mostly with some celery, lemon, ginger and an apple).  The C-drink flushed through me so I had a few visitis to the bathroom.  My headache returned a little and this time I had a faint pain in the back of my head lower mid-right.  I took two Ibus and the "buzzing" is reduced but still there.

As far as my health goes, I am fairly healthy, though overweight (20lbs off would help allot).  I started this year out by losing 15lbs and eating very healthy.  However over the past two weeks I have gained back about 5lbs and had more sugar.  Thursday and Friday I had Starbucks white mochas, so some of this could be as a result of sugar-shock.

I am 54 years young, and I have high cholesterol.  My last blood test was January 7th and I am due back on March 23rd..  My Dr. has given me meds for it called Simvastin (40mg) and I have only taken it once as I reacted the next day by being moody.

I do suffer from anxiety, being unemployed for 16 months doesn't help that.  So with the advice of my counselor I have been taking Xanax from 3-5 times a week over the past two years.  I use it mostly ot help me get to sleep.  I started taking Xanax in 2004 when I had "Bells-Palsey" to counteract the prednisone.

I had been doing great this year, having real peace with going for my degree and not having a job.  Then about two weeks ago I started feeling more agitated and less peaceful.  I am somewhat stressed out by school, but no more that I was by work and less than I was when I first started back to school last summer.  I think that I am most anxious about what is causing this pain...

Any ideas?  Should I go to the ER?  Or perhaps call my doctor tomorrow?

Oh and I have been experiencing a flutter of my left eyelid off and on ove the past year.  I take prilosec for my acid reflux if that helps to know.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Tenth day and still having mild headaches with nausea, mostly when I use the computer with white background (brightness).

I went ot the eye-doctor on friday and they took all kinds of tests and my eyes are in good shape, though I need a new perscription for glasses.

I also remembered that I did upgrade my video driver on my computer a day before my headaches started.

So I plan on calling my doctor today and see if she has any ideas.

Thanks for readingidea

Have you ever been diagnosed with migraines? Your symptoms sound alot like those of a migraine sufferer. While one migraine attack will usually subside within 72 hours left untreated, sometimes you can have cluster migraines, where before one ends, another begins. Of course all of this comes from my personal experience and not a medical background. You should go see your GP and bring up these as possibilities. There are awesome meds that the GP can give you samples of to see if they work for you before you buy a script. Best of luck to you!

I have never been diagnosed with Migranes.  Never had problems with headaches either.

I have found a "workaround" for the time being, I have put on those funky dark glasses that they give you at the eye doctor after they dialate your eyes.  They seem to keep me from getting nauseated and the headache is very minor.  So I guess the brightness has something to do with my problem.  Isn't this akin to issues with migranes?

My doctor is out of town until next Monday, so I may see another one or just use "shades" all week.
