Percocet & Flexerial working together!!!!

My neuro doctor game me flexerial for my TMJ pain and I take percocet for the severe pain,
it works pretty good together.  It doesn't take it away completely but it does come close.
One problem though::: my doctor no longer takes my insurance so now I need to find a new
neruologist.  I hope my doctor can still give me one more prescription to hold me over till I find a new doctor.......Why do thinks like this happen???
