For the past 4 weeks I have been having facial pain with severe headache on the left side of my face and head.  Starting from the cheek up over the temple and eye then through my scalp to behind the left ear even as far down as my neckline.  It was very scary as the ER docs admittted me at the first episode thinking it was a stroke.  Yesterday, I had my 3rd attack.  This time I was given Morphine for the pain.  It helped but the pressure is still there.  I started Vicodin and Lyrica last night.  This pain is horrible.  I feel as though my face is being crushed inward and my tongue goes numb it is hard to speak during the attack.  My hearing is sensitive and yesterday I saw bright colors even with my eyes closed.  I have already been on steroids and Topomax -but the Topomax gave me anxiety attacks the first week.  I think I am going crazy - I can't sleep on my back because the headache is worse.  All diagnostic tests came back normal.  I used to get 1 or 2 migraines  a year but nothing like this.  Am I going crazy?  Are there others suffering this intense pain like this? confused
