Hi, so I'm new to the migraine forum but definitely not new to migraines. I'm not really sure if the visual symptoms I have going on are caused by my migraines or the possible multiple sclerosis that I'm currently going through testing for to see if that's going on or if it's a combination of the two, but there definitely seems to be more visual symptoms lately. I've had visual snow and some floaters/flashes for as long as I can remember, and lately I've had some blurry or worsening acuity (can't see the power point slides on the board in class, used to have very good vision and didn't need glasses until last summer), double vision and some trailing behind moving objects when I go from a bright room to a dark room or when I wake up and go from dark to bright. I have had migraines since I was in the fourth grade I think, or about nine years old, so about 2004, and was on a migraine medicine when I was younger and more recently was put on atenolol for a few months and then switched to topamax after getting migraines every day for about two months. So, has anyone had these sort of problems, especially with visual snow and double vision, with migraines? I've tried looking stuff up about visual snow and the trailing stuff, and much like a few other things the results are mostly just some vague thing I've never heard of can cause it or it could be caused by migraines (which I have found to be able to be the cause of a wide range of things that I didn't know it could cause, seems like a catch all sort of thing).

First things first, while you are waiting on the MS answer, go get your eyes checked. I did this, I did need a script for one eye nothing big.

My MS was neg. I still have vision issues. Bad in am when first waking and real bad at night, can hardly drive. When I have pain, forget it.

Sometimes the medications can cause some vision issues, check with the docs and the pharmacy.

I drink mostly water all day, and I water down juice. I notice that sometimes this helps in the vision issues. It definately helps me in other concerns.
