Is anyone here taking topamax with asthma? I just started 8 weeks ago and have reach my beginning maintenance dose of 50 mg twice daily. I have been having sinus headaches and went and saw my regular doctor and she restarted me on my nasal steroids and asthma medications, with daily medicating. I went to a drug interaction website I know of, to confirm drug interactions and imagine my surprise when all the medications my neurologist has me on, have possible drug interactions with each other for depressed respiratory function. I am on Vicodin (hydrocodon) for pain, promethazine for nausea, and topamax for the migraines. I am positive I have told my doctor I have asthma, so will have to be making phonecalls tomorrow. But I am wondering if anyone else is having problems with their asthma on topamax and any of the other mentioned medicines.

I have noticed some shortness of breath at times, as well as lightheadedness and dizziness, but discounted these symptoms as par of the course of the topamax, now I am not so sure. I figured once I became more acclimated to the topamax these symptoms would even out and disappear for the most part.
