any1 know whats wrong with me?

about a month ago, i was watching tv and felt my my heart rate increase somewhat and i got worried. that night, a pressure started to build up in my head and after a day i went to the docs who told me it was a headache possibly from stress or tension and so off i went. sure enought it died down within a day or 2. a few weeks later and my head started to feel pressurized again. this time its stayed for 1 and a half weeks and no sign of going. im 32 and never known this before. at the moment, its above my left ears the most, and a vein (i imagine) looks inflamed or swollen above my left ear. i feel my whole neck and head throbbing and a most definate pressure. i ran 3km today which didnt do any harm and it usually gets worse during the day. so mornings r best as sleep seems to make it go away. does any1 know what it may be? it kind of feels like every breath i take is from a bottle of poppers. that crap from ages ago.
but with concentrated spots like the occasional temple or above ears or neck.
any feedback would be really appreciated.
thanks

this is not anxiety. i have the very same thing now for 4 months and am terribly ill. im a young male who developed this symptom along with others.  im off balance, weak, total body achiness, weak legs all undiagnosed.  but the worst is the nonstop squeezing strangling pressure in my neck and head. its unbearable. its not a headache  just pressure and squeezing. it contracts slowly and forcefully with each heart beat.  they do not know what is the cause of it. i also have developed trembling  internal vibrating and essential tremor at the same time.  buzzing in body, neck and ears.  its a mystery and my health is out of control.

guys, i deal with this very often. it feels like a pulsing sound in yoru head and it feels like your head is in a clamp or something. my lymph nodes also swell up and i can't stop focusing on how annoying the pain gets.

the root of all this is LYME disease. well not necessarily lyme, but the toxins produced from killing the lyme bacteria. i suggest you guys get tested for it or any other chronic illness that produces a lot of toxins. these symptoms are a sign of toxin overload

although, even though i now know its lyme, i still can't get rid of the pain unfortunately...

its possible, yes. but not in a catastrophic sort of way. it will start to slowly shut down your body over a long period of time as your body tries to attack the bacteria and the toxins produced by the die-off can be damaging to your organs, especially your liver. It's not likely you will die as a direct result of lyme, rather from a complication that originated from lyme.

you should definitely try and see an LLMD. they are the only doctors that are at least partially qualified to know what's up with lyme.

HI guys concerning this topic on head pressure and neck tightness, better have a look at a small but significant desease called temporal arteritist or ginat cell arteritist. Here is a brief describtion althoughthere is much more to be said on this subject .Temporal arteritis (TA), also known as giant cell arteritis (GCA), is a common form of systemic vasculopathy affecting patients older than 50 years. Although typically affecting the superficial temporal arteries, this inflammatory process has been shown to involve medium- and large-sized vessels, including the aorta, carotid, subclavian, vertebral, and iliac arteries. Therefore, "giant cell arteritis" may be more appropriate than "temporal arteritis" to identify this type of vasculitis, though both terms are used interchangeably.

I turned 19 in May.
You guys just described what I'm going through right now.
It started back in July of 2011.
**History: I was stung July 2, 2011 by a wasp and a bumblebee on the same foot. I went to the doctor July 3, 2011. I was prescribed 2 pills to take orally and one was an ointment. I used it and it the ointment turned my foot a blue-ish color. So around 5a.m. the morning of July 4, 2011 I went to the E.R. when I was at the E.R. they gave me 80mg of a steroid and 2 percosets. I was told to continue the medication I was prescribed, so I did. Later in the day (July 4) I went to the fireworks with my family and it was about 80 degrees around 9p.m. on the way there I felt like I was going to be -dizzy- but wasn't , and I was sweating. I felt that way until it had cooled off.
Then about a month later in August 2011 I had an allergic reactionto something around the house , and they gave me 40mg of a cortozone shot and a pillpack to take.

Since July it has just gotten worse. I don't know if its something that happened because of the medication , or if the medication triggered it. There have been days , up to a week that I haven't had the weird sensation. When I get the sensation its generally around 11p.m. or later and it will feel like:

1. I'm going to be dizzy but I'm not
A. There was one time that I thought I was going to faint/passout
2. Pressure
A. In the back of my head , temple region
3. Electric feeling
A. The feeling of a slight tingle going from the back of my neck up to my forehead

Lately just today I'm experience neck pain. It's not very painful , more like my muscles are tight. Earlier today when I was on a road trip, I was backing out of a gas station and I looked to my left to make sure nobody was coming and when I turned my head it sounded like sand grinding in my neck. It was odd.

My mom scheduled me a doctor appointment Monday , so hopefully I'll find out what's wrong. My great uncle passed away Monday , he had a massive heart attack Sunday and I saw it happen. Monday when we found he passed away I had my first anxiety attack. I was also diagnosed with boarder-line childhood diabetes when I was 12 years old. I've noticed that cigarette smoke triggers it as well.

Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

I can totally relate to the "head pounding and pressure"!! I'm 29 now and 4 years ago I started to experience a pounding in my head, not really a head ache but more pressure and it would get worse if I bent over or moved too fast. I also experienced a "tight" feeling in my neck! I didn't really pay it any attention bc I suffer from horrible sinus problems so I just assumed it was "another sinus infection"! I was VERY healthy and done fitness training 4 times a week. 5'7 and 127 lbs! I started to question why I just felt like crap every single day! I worked out, ate right, didn't drink, smoke etc?! Well one morning I woke up and my face was a little swollen, along with my neck and my cheek bones were sore to the touch! I called and made an appt with my dr (months from the 1st time I had exp the pounding) and she assured me it was just another really bad sinus infection. Took my meds and nothing changed! I didn't wanna be one of those paranoid pts so I just let it go and tried to deal with it. 2 weeks later I was watching tv and my right eye went totally fuzzy...it started throbbing! I took some Tylenol and laid down the next morning went and seen my dr again. This time she gave me a shot of Rocephin (excuse spelling) which is a very strong antibiotic. That helped for a few days but on a Sunday morning I woke up and put my feet on the floor and instantly knew somethiNg was wrong! My legs were swollen 3 times there normal size and I could feel the pressure in my face and head, I was at such a loss as to what was going on I called my fitness trainer to see if I had been "over doing it" exercising?! He assured me that wasn't the case and I needed to seek medical attention ASAP! I went to the ER am they immediately admitted me and started to run test. I stayed in the hospital 2 weeks to find out I had LYME disease!! I'm not replying that everyone with pounding head or swollen anything has this but it is over looked VERY easy!! It's very serious if not treated and can cause long term damage! I feel 100% better than I ever have and I'm not blaming my dr one bit for not knowing bc who goes to the dr and says, "Hey I think I have LyME disease!" it's a simple test it only requires blood work and that's it!! Mine was treated with a 60 day antibiotic taken once daily. I was also given pain meds which I didnt find necessary to take BUT LYME disease can cause serious pain! I can't even tell you where I came in contact with the bug so don't think you have to have the "tick" on you bc you don't!! Like I said, I'm not saying my symptoms are the same for everyone but I can tell you they drove me crazy! I seriously thought I was losing my mind lol. Pounding head pressure, heart palpitations, edema, feeling so fatigued, weight loss, aches and pains and tightness. I never would've thought in a million years I would ever get LYME disease but I guess you can!

And yes you need to take this seriously bc I was one of the lucky ones! Had they not found this when they did I was going to have to be sent to an infectious disease dr and have one of those iv things put in so I could come and get iv meds!! Thank the good Lord I didn't have to do that!

Actually I have some of the same things going on. First all the doctors including those at the so wonderful mayo clinics, said i have anxiety and neck spasm and needed therapy for my neck and brain. So the therapist said not to come back at the third visit until i had corrected my medical issues. I was 35 when this all startef 2 years ago. Pounding heart racing pulse, bloodpressure sky high, that feeling of electricity shooting through your body, and last but not least the whole digestive tract issues. I lost 32 pounds in 2 weeks, because ever time i ate about an hour later it would all start in. It also did the same thing when i would watch tv. 11 er visits later a family practitioner ask if i had ever had blood checked for tick diseses. I said yes for lymes 4 different times at dr visits. She said no, the other ones. Didn't know there was such a thing. So she sent it off and guess what i am know the proud patient with Q-fever, and Rockymountain spotted fever. They have removed my gall bladder in sept 2010- it stop functioning. I had a relapse last fall that put me down for 3 months. They put me back on antibiotics and gues what it starts improving, after we went through the whole anxiety crap spill again. Currently just this afternoon i had my kidneys operated on for the second time in two weeks. There is narrowing of the uretesto the bladder and hydro nephrosis in the kidneys pelvic region. The doctor says it is genetal. What ever, do you not think in 37 years i would have had some kind of problems with them before know???? I think it is part of the whole tick issue myself. So to the rest of searching for answers, ask about getting checked for the other tick panel also. Good luck, and God Bless.

I also get the head pressure and feel my pulse thumping in my head as well as other areas of the body.
Im dizzy alot
As some one mentioned in the thread, i also get that that buzzing sensation all over my body at random time in random places.
I have Fibromyalgia and alot of people on that forum also experience the buzzing feelings.

Sometimes the pressure and pulsing comes on with a headached, sometimes with out.

It scarey sometimes.
I had a ct of the brain 2 years ago and an mri of the Neck 2 years ago
all negative.

It looks like i experience similar symtptoms mentioned here but no answers.
Hopefully our dr.s can figure it out eventually...

Im 14 years old and the past few days i have had terrible head pains. it feels like a throbbing in my head and my mom isn't sure what to do. I thought it would just go away but each day it gets worse and depending in the position I am in it either hurts more or less. When i walk the pressure and throbbing get worse. If i lie down it hurts less. Last night I had a high fever and my head was getting worse. I don't have pain anywhere else but my head but please if you think you have an idea of what might be causing me so much pain please do tell me.

Not sure if this will help you but the remedy available here has been very good for my migraines http://gentlyheal.com/

I also use their insomnia medication to good effect. My husband swears by the gout remedy

If you are running a fever, I would suspect some type of infection. You should see your physician or go to the ER immediately.

i know you posted this a long time ago. if you are still having these symptoms, you should go to a doctor immediately and request a MRI. I do not want to scare you, but those are symptoms similar to something i just saw on the news about brain tumors. My boyfriend has similar symptoms and i am now extremely worried after the story i just saw on my tv. I began searching the web and thats how i came across your post. i immediately felt like i should tell you. i truly hope you do not have anything of the sort. God bless you and i wish you the best. Do not panic, just please see a doctor and request a MRI to make sure you are safe.
