Alright, enough with the attaching of labels to something that is chronic and can cause damage anywhere in the body. Imagine if medicine operated on these terms. OH DEAR LORD, it already does, doesn't it? You are proof!
I know MANY people with LYME and these are VERY COMMON symptoms they experience. The bacteria causing the symptoms can be Burrelia Burgdorferi (BB). It is a Spirochete that can burrow into ANY tissue and organ and cause a wide array of symptoms. The testing for Lyme is ridiculous and non-conclusive. There are many false negatives, but some people are lucky enough to test positive. Some people get tested multiple times and FINALLY they test positive. Others start out with some symptoms and it takes them a long time, years to develop new symptoms (has to do with how well your immune system holds them back and what else you are infected with).
You do not have to have the bull's eye rash to have lyme and the tick does not have to be on you for more than 24-48hrs. That is such BS & if the medical community would listen to the actual people who are contracting the disease, then they might just learn something. Stories have been reported of 1-2hrs of attachment & developing symptoms weeks or even years later. One story reports a tick barely being attached, not completely within the skin. It was just about
flicked off & it managed to dose the disease and MANY OF THE CO-INFECTIONS.
Here comes the part where it gets scary. There are many CO-INFECTIONS & put these together it can disable your immune system over time, if left unchecked. Some of the CO-I's are Bartonella, Babesia, Erlichia, Mycoplasma, EBV, HHV6....and the list can go on. It has been reported that in places ticks with the BB also carry the Bartonella & Babesia bacteria 70% of the time. I know of an individual who never saw a tick or rash & had various symptoms. He was tested positive for Babesiosis. Lucky for him the tick that bit him only had Babesia. Is it possible that he has the BB in him? Yes, there are people who go on for YEARS & then finally the bacteria takes hold and infects. Again depends on your immune system, environmental triggers, stress levels, diet...etc.
You will be SHOCKED as I was when you discover that many of these other bacteria or viruses are difficult to detect. There are many different species of the same bacteria and thousands of mutations of BB, since it has a highly mutable genome. You will be SHOCKED at how difficult it may be to treat these diseases, especially if you have multiple infections.
So you want to get tested and treated? Don't bother going to the regular doctor anymore, if you have already been to several and are unable to get to the bottom of this. You need to see a LLMD (Lyme Literate Medical Doctor). They can help you, since they see this day in and day out. Lyme and CO-I' are VERY COMPLICATED.
I have learned so much after my family and I have been infected. I have discovered that within 6 houses RIGHT NEXT TO ME, there are 13 people who have been bit & who have various major symptoms. Some more arthritis, while others more neurological.
Forget what you thought you knew about
Lyme and the BS you hear every now and then in the media. You have to educate yourself for the sake of you and your family. Forget about
rolling your socks up & putting in your pants. Ticks are designed to attach. They will attach themselves to your pants and crawl up. Forget about
what they report about
being treated with anti-biotics for ONLY A MONTH and being cured. You most likely will need further treatment if you did not discover the bight right away, or if you were given too low a dose of anti-biotics.
This is a GROWING EPIDEMIC and education is paramount. Education on ticks and Lyme precedes your ABC's and math skills. What point is even going to school if your child becomes disabled from this & yes it has happened many times over. Other children have to be home schooled, since they are so sick and undergoing months of ABX treatment.
If you want to start your education, do as much reading as possible. Read voraciously and keep an
open mind to learn the truth. Check out clips from a DVD called "Under Our Skin" from You Tube. It is a documentary and you will get a taste of what people are going through and how they have been shifted by doctors. Read a book called "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. She is a medical journalist who also reported on Lyme in her work in the past. Little did she know about
Lyme from her standard reading and reporting. Yes medical journalist and even many MD's are just regurgitating information they deem as true. She was not forced to look deeper until her family had gotten sick, one by one, and she saw many doctors who could not explain it. Proof too that Lyme causes many different variations of symptoms, just within her family's symptoms, but you will learn this as fact IF YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK.
Also, please understand that Lyme and co-infections don't necessarily have to be transmitted by ticks:
-some percentage of mosquitos (if they bite an infected animal or person & then they bite you, yes you could get it)
-Human bodily fluid exchange (sexually transmitted just like Syphilis, as it too is a spirochete)
-Human body fluid contact (someone has got it from handling fluids from an infected person)
-Deer meat processing (cutting up your own deer without wearing protection. It can get into an
open wound or you can ingest if not cleaning hands or using hands to put food in your mouth).
-It can on occassions also get airborn from the caugh or sneeze of a person (if you are unlucky enough to be at the wrong place at the wrong time).
-BB has been reported in urine and semen
-BB and some of the co-infections have been passed unto the unborn child via the placenta. Can cause autism or many deformities, mental problems, learning disabilities.
KEEP READING AND KEEP LEARNING. ONCE YOU KNOW THE TRUTH, INFORM OTHERS. I WISH I HAD READ AN ARTICLE LIKE THIS, SINCE IT COULD HAVE SAVED MY FAMILY AND I FROM THE NOW HORRIBLE NIGHTMARES.
