Hi everyone,
My partner suffers from debilitating migraines and has tried many prescription drugs and preventatives, but sadly with shocking side effects. A friend suggested we try a more "natural" approach. I have heard that feverfew and even magnesium have been found to be helpful....I'm just not sure where to even start. Has anyone had success with these supplements? And has anyone found anything else that has really worked for them? I would really appreciate some advice from those who know.......

i have always had migraines since i was 8 yrs old but very occasionally, then for some reason i had them in clusters for over 2 years, not just headaches but sensation migraines too, i always had the auras with the headaches but the sensation ones just started and i was so scared you have no idea unless you have had them, i eventually went to see a specialist because they were as concerned as i was,it was found that it was marmite that was causing them after testing all sorts of food and touch wood since stopping marmite i have not had one migraine.
you have to be methodical about this and write down everything that goes into your mouth and see what you have that might trigger them, 9 times out of 10 it was marmite for me but it may be something different for others, its hard to believe that foods we eat can trigger them but its either that or stress but it can be very hard to find out which food it is and it will take time but i know how much it was worth for me to find out, i'm afraid all this has to be done by yourself as doctors dont do it only suggest it.i do feel for you and i wish you luck
