Hi Everyone,
I just thought i would post this because it is the first time i have heard of this. I was watching Inside Edition and they had a piece about Alan Osmond, whom i am sure everyone knows has MS. He stated that he is participating in a study and it is called SF1019.
It seems so promising. Just thought i would search it and share with you all. Take a peek when you get a chance. Not sure if it is to treat progression or just the symptoms though. Let me know what you all think.
Love

Sounds like it's a systemattic relief thing. But hard to tell..they've cleverly "couched" it in medical technospeak, I'm sure to hide what they're really doing (so as to protect their future $$ interests). We know that MS causes inflammation (and eventual destruction) of the myelin..so maybe there's something there. Or maybe not. Once they get it out of animal studies and in to humans, we'll see if there's anything worth rejoicing about.

Hey Uppity,
I hear ya. Although i think it is in human study. He is on it and if you read the section "Pre-clinic trials" it gives account of several humans that did test it. They are calling it "compassionate waiver program" though. Never heard of that either. Hum....... Pretty interesting accounts though, you know? Oh well, just hope and pray that one day, maybe in our lifetime.........
Thanks for checking it out!

Usually "compassionate waiver program" means something like: "This was very much untested and is highly risky, could cause serious damage and even death, but we're using these folks as "guinea pigs" because what ails them also is very serious and to this point untreatable, and maybe this will work, maybe not."

I meant human study where they've really gotten clear about what it does or doesn't do, animal tests have been done long enough and sufficiently carefully enough to think that it won't be all that risky and may be beneficial, and some proof that it does what they think it does...not just speculation.
