Provigil helps in a.m. but by noon i'm sliding downhill and 2:30 dead in the water.
Hey Doof!

Welcome to the board! I started this new thread for u so that everyone can see u'r here and maybe offer some advice for u on this Provigil problem.

U should prob talk to u'r doc about this. Maybe u'r dosage can be tweaked a bit to offer a smaller dose in the morn and the other part of that adjusted dose in the afternoon...or even just adding a second dose in the afternoon. U'r doc will know the best route for u, but if u'r feeling this bad so early in the afternoon then u'r doc needs to know it and u need some help. Best wishes on this friend!

Hi Doof- I do know some people take provigil in two doses a day. I tried it for fatigue and it kept me awake but didn't really alleviate the fatigue. Then if I wanted to catch a 20 minute nap on my lunch break I couldn't do it because of the provigil. I had better luck with Ritalin (sp?) for fatigue, but couldn't use it long because it aggravated my already too fast heart rate. And I think it made me way too chatty at work! ;) I just go with caffeine and naps when I can. I just wanted to second Rhonda to talk with your doc- if it's only working til noon then hopefully they can come up with something better for you. Good luck.
