Since I dont get on everyday,I wanted to let you know that I am having surgery on Thursday. Actually two...I am having my gall bladder removed first and after my gyn is doing an edometiral ablation. My periods have been all screwed up for like a year or so and it's caused anemia...did testing and I have a polyp they want to remove and biospy. So we are crossing fingers I will no longer have my periods every two weeks. When I saw my primary Dr for medical clearance for surgery we went over all my other health issues. I have had gall problems in the past(causing an ICU visit lat year). I went in for another Hydi scan and it's time for that 'ol thing to come out. I have Bilary Diskensia(sp?) Gall bladder disease. So if all goes as planned,I go in on Thursday morning and surgery is set for 7:30am...Hoping My Ulcerative Colitis doesnt interfer with anything and we have a simple easy surgery(s). Dr wants to keep me over night one night no matter what, because of medical history and we go from there...

Hey Nichole,

Good luck to you.  My prayers are with you.  I hope it all goes well for you and you feel better real soon.  Please let us know as soon as you can.  Maybe get mom to post for you.  Your doctor sound really attentive.  That is great.  Get your hubby to bring you a nice slushy and keep your kids away from it;)  Please take good care.

Man, Nicole, sounds like you'll be in a lot better shape after all this is out or done with... have a good surgery, like Gretchen said, your doc sounds very attentive to the details necessary to insure a good outcome there. Praying you a quick recovery!

Good luck- I've had two family members have very good luck with the endometrial ablation. I'll be next I'm sure. Battle anemia myself quite a bit. Sounds so good to not have to worry about that anymore. I do hope you will be feeling much better after all that is done- Willow

Hey all,I'm home from surgery, well I got home yesterday...just over night one day. I am doing good. A bit sore from the gall bladder being removed, but I will survive...kinda feels like a few punches in the tummy! Everything went as planned and both surgeries were complete within one hour. Just wanted to let you all know:-)

Hey Nichole,

I have been thinking about you.  I am glad it is all over and you are home.  Please rest and take good care of yourself.  I hope these surgeries give you some relief.
