Dear Frannie,

I am very sorry to hear this.  I would contact your local MS society as soon as possible.  See what they recommend.  They may have a low or no cost sling/crane that they can get for you.  Or they may have some techniques or a therapist that can train you in better transfer techiques.  Another resource would be your doctor.  Plase don't continue to do all this on your own.  Good luck and please keep us posted.

hi gretchen, after close to 20 years we have tried every kind of doctors, medicines, store bought 'helpers', altertanives, etal.  have been  pretty consistant on ms helpers from ms society and on.

i do have ms but ms does not have me, would just like to see what folks have invented to help?

frannie55 just a hint if your upper body is functionable try getting a trapeeze...They should have them at the places where u buy scooters and accsesseries..And the ms society gives u 500 dollars a year towards stuff like that.I know of a guy who pulls himself up with the trapeeze everyday maybe it could help you...good luck to you...pokey79
