Dearest everyone,
My typing isn't what it once was so I need to keep this short. I've been dx since 2000 and have had a rapid progression to the point that I'm wheelchair bound already. I've taken traditional and non tradtitional therapy and have accidentally stumbled on the "kleener protocal". Has anyone heard of this? experiences? anything? I have the "medication" and don't want to start taking it until I find out more. If anyone has heard of this please repond.

Ahhhhh....this is LDN...Low Dose Naltrexone. There are very few if any here who have used this drug and who will have experiences to share with u, so i'll post some links for u to read up on. Check out these links and see what u think. Best wishes friend.

Hi momjen,

I am glad you posted.  I have never heard of the kleener protocol but I do know some about Low-dose Naltrexone.  It was one of the first medical attempts at slowing down progression.  Its use can be traced back about twenty years.  There is some anecdotal success but it has not held up at all in clinical studies.  It seems to be quite harmless though, it won't hurt you to try it.  The only caveat would be that you cannot take any opiates (so no narcotic type pain relievers) and you cannot take it with any of the interferons.

Good luck and keep posting to let us know how you are.

Will do. I don't believe its low dose ... can't spell it. Its vitamins injectable B1 and liver and a bunch of oral with a high vit C. One of the reasons I'm posting is that's it's been around for a long time and I can't find ANYTHING on it. I'm just looking to see if anyone has heard of this?

Ok this was bugging me so I went back and did some more poking around.  Sorry Rhonda, it is not Low-dose Naltrexone.  It IS a vitamin program.  momjen, the reason you can't find anything on it is that it is actually KLENNER protocol.  Try googling that and you will get lots of information.  I also saw that it has been around since 1973, BUT I found an ancient document in which his explanation of the mechanics of MS left me really doubting his understanding.  His explanation had nothing to do with the current theories of t cells crossing the blood brain barrier and attacking the myelin.  He was talking about hemorages and such being caused by thiamin, calcium and vit. C deficiencies.

His protocol is based on extremely high doses of vitamins via IV.  His treatment is not FDA approved so you would be paying for this out of pocket.  OK I hope this information helps.

I did google that name and thank you so much for all your efforts. I really appreciate it! The MS protocal has been adjusted and the vit c is not thru iv but pills.

I did't realize that I had spelt it incorrectly until early today. Thank you a lot of information to read up on. I'll be busy!
