I WAS DIAGNOSED THREE YEARS AGO AND SO FAR I HAVE BEEN LUCKY WITH SYMPTOMS EXCEPT FOR THE OCCASIONAL NEURITIS OR LEG AND ARM SPASMS. THIS PAST WEEK SOMETHING NEW STARTED , I HAVE HAD HORRIBLE PAIN IN MY THIGHS FOR 5 DAYS NOW, AND THE BEST WAY TO DESCRIBE IT IS LIKE BEING VERY SORE FROM EXCERSISE. I PLAY FLAG FOOTBALL AND IT FEELS JUST LIKE THAT, ONLY I HAVEN'T PLAYED FOR TWO MONTHS DUE TO HAND SURGERY. I AM SCARED BECAUSE I DONT KNOW IF THIS IS GONNA GET BETTER OR IF THIS IS A SIGN OF GOING DOWNHILL. I HAVE BEEN ON TYSABRI FOR 8 MONTHS AND MY DOCTOR HAS GIVIN ME LYRICA FOR THIS BUT IT IS NOT HELPING. I WAS NOT ABLE TO SEE HIM TILL NEXT WEEK , SO HE CALLED THAT IN.  I  AM LOOKING FORWARD TO HEARING FROM ANYONE THAT CAN RELATE OR HELP.  THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS.    IRISH

Hi Irish,

I often get pain on my left side from my neck and down to my calf. The pain gets worst as the day goes through. I did some Yoga the other day and really stretched that side. That night, I was pretty sore, but the next day, I felt pretty darn good. I have also alternated between ice and a heating pad which does give some good relief. My doctor has me on Flexeril when needed. More than anything, it helps me sleep and calms those muscles.

Don't stress yourself out and think you're going downhill!! It will get better soon.

Hi there, I have had a whole slew of symptoms that i cant mention right now, because I am in so much pain im trembling and I feel nauseous,

The pain is in my thighs, right now it seems to be in my left leg more, on the top, omg, the pain is unbearable, walking does not make it any better, I have only been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, this pain is excruciating, the only way that I can describe it, is it feels like someone is pouring continuously hot scalding water from my pelvis down to my knees, I dont know what to take for it, because i have already took my pills for the night, lithium, and prozac, I am also having a big flare of diarrhea, i have went 10 times today, that is the most I have gone, but its been escalating the last few days, not sure if this has anything to do with this, I have not been diagnosed with anything as of yet, however, I do have a whole lot of symptoms that i will get into on a later date, for now, i was just wondering what to do with this excruciating pain,

I hope that someone is familiar with it, actually no i dont, cause man, it hurts, I would not wish this on anyone,

It is not because I have been active, i have been in the house the last two days because of the snow. And I am never really too active,, because I am always in pain, or always have a headache, or feel sick,

I'm sorry that this is so long.

Take care everyone,

kelly

Hi there Irish,

I am so sorry for your pain. I have had pain off and on for the last 14 years and that ache in the thighs (and I had it in buttocks and upper arms as well) was exactly what I experienced. My dr said that high doses of oral baclofen combined with physio would help but I am so allergic that I could not tolerate it. I also tried Lyrica & a few others but did not find that they helped much. So I had to look for alternative help & l found that Reiki was a big help with that awful ache (I am a Reiki master so can just sit and give myself healing wherever I am, waiting to pick up kids etc). From my experience I would say that this is just a dip and it will level out and improve so just hang in there. The last few years my spasticity & pain got beyond 10/10 & I now have a baclofen pump and NO pain at all which is miraculous. So just know that you do not have to suffer for ever. All the best.
