interesting to say the least... my neurologist compared my MRI of 5 years ago to this one, and basically no change in the brain, no new signs...he also checked for stroke, again nothing...

but now I have the most change in my gait ever, and my fatigue and other issues have increased..My first symptom was over 32 years ago...My neuro told me its just age!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you just don't know how much that pissess me off!

I was going through a lot of anxiety wondering what the results were going to be, which also greatly affects my IRB problems....you snuck over to the IBS forum, didn't you Gretchen. .and I'm just getting older, like you are supposed to do! But for some odd reason I tend to think that I'm still young and healthy, which I am not...if I was I would still be skiing down double diamonds and doing 25K on my bicycle

but, I can still do about 10 miles on the bike, skiing though is long over, as for other things, better living through chemistry is what I always say...I guess I have to pay more attention to what I'm doing
It seemed like a good idea at the time

Hey Dennis,

I am very glad to hear that you are showing no MRI signs of progression but of course I am not happy that you are showing clinical signs.  Did you have contrast?  You could have flared on an old lesion and so you didn't add an new one but instead had inflammation at an old sight.

I do sneak about a bit and if I see familiar members, I will sometimes post.  Dennis, you have had symptoms of this disease for 32 years!!  You are doing really well.  Be proud of the tremendous fight you are giving this disease.  You are doing great!!!  Keep up the work and keep up your spirits.  That is so important.

Hang in there.  You are a very inspiring member here and you add lots to HW both here and over in IBS.

Did contrast, no sign of inflamation ......

I feel foolish posting my problems at times...I have found my MS and my IBS extremely annoying at times, urgent, uncomfortable and embarrassing... and there are things that I cannot do anymore, I do miss skiing,,but

I have read the posts of others who are in true pain, terrified about thier illness and their future, and I complain about tripping over my own feet and not remembering what day it is

can you tell I'm turning cranky?

Hey Dennis,

I am right there with ya.  I am still able to work full time.  I truly live with no limits.  There are things I can't do anymore but nothing I can't handle.  There are those who are very disabled with this and then I feel guilty about whining.  The thing is, even a mild case of MS changes so much of a person's life.  I have to deal with symptom management pretty much every second of everyday.  One quick turn or step where I am not careful and down I go.  It doesn't happen often but it is something that is such an indicator of this disease.

Never feel bad about venting here.  That is what HW is for.  No one is judging you or thinking less of you for venting. And personally, the forgetting what day it is?  That cognitive stuff scares me most of all.
