I have been reading that they are getting great results from a Goat serum trial. Apparently, it requires an injection of this serum once a week and they have had very positive results even with long term sufferers. Gretchen, what do you, or anyone else know of this? I am getting excited smilewinkgrin turn smilewinkgrin turn

Aimspro is the name of the goat serum.  This is a blood product from goats that have been vaccinated against various diseases and so have antibodies in their blood.  There apparently is some evidence that this serum has anti-inflammatory properties.  There have been no U.S. FDA type studies (double blind and all that).  There were a couple very very small studies in the UK but the results were less than exciting.  One study showed no significant difference from the placebo.  Both of these studies were, however extremely short.

I am not  holding out much hope for this one but you never know.............

Popsie,

I was recently at a research symposium for MS.  There are so many things in the pipeline.  Hang in there.  Bone marrow transplant (from yourself to yourself) shows wonderful promise.  I don't fully understand it but it has to do with harvesting your own stem cells and then putting them back in.  Someday they are going to figure out how to repair myelin............there is the real hope!!!!  There is a a ton of research there as it would treat more than just MS.
