I was diagnosed with MS about 3 years ago but I thought they were crazy for my symptoms werent that bad. Well until this year...... my spine is deteriating seems so fast. Then my sphincter muscles shut down in Feb and they went in to try to fix them and then two weeks later had to put in an ileostomy to divert the colon.... well after several test we found that my sigmoid colon wasnt working at all and I kept getting abcess so long story short in June they went in and put the ileostomy back in and removed my sigmoid colon and made an end colostomy. I have been doing decent since then until this weekend.... now I can urinate.... I went to the hospital who cathed me then went on monday again and they cathed me again and did a ct scan... no blockage. They got me into a urologist on Monday that dilated my urethra. He did a few test there and stated he thought it was from the MS. The nurse taught me how to do straight cath and they scheduled me tomorrow for a uro dynamics test and then a cystoscopy on the 24th. Anyone else have trouble with this.......if so what am I looking at

You have never treated your MS because you didn't think you really had it?  It sounds like your MS is progressing.

I can't answer your question...."what am I looking at?"  MS is very unpredictable and different for everyone.  Are you under the care of a neurologist?  If not, you may want to see an MS specialist and get on a disease modifying therapy.

You may want to find another neurologist and see what your treatment options are.  Neurontin treats symptoms only.  You may want to opt for something that is designed to slow down the desease, although many choose to do that naturally.

Whatever you choose, you need to learn as much about MS as you can.  You need to try and slow it down whether it be by western meds or lifestyle changes such as diet, supplements and exercise.
