My sister has MS, and i have collected an antibiotic prescription for her, and am just reading through the warnings and it says:

Do not take Fasigyn if:
You have central nervous system (CNS) disease, including epilepsy.

Now i am very certain MS is an illness and not a disease, but it does affect the CNS.

Does anyone know if MS is classedd as a disease?

I looked Fasigyn up, it looks like the medication interferes with anti seizure medications, that could be what they mean--im not a pharmacist or a dr but as long as her dr is aware of her having ms, he probably feels this is safe for her. As for diseases and illnesses, the term can be used interchangeable.

I have never considered this before.  I always assumed that "illness" and "disease" are interchangable.  Indeed, if you look up illness it uses the word disease as part of the definition.  I don't think there is a significant difference between those two words.

MS is a central nervous system disease or illness.

thanks for the replies.

I forgot to mention, the Fasigyn is to treat her Lyme disease. which she was recently diagnosed with.

Fasigyn is used to kill the cyst form of the lyme infection.

i just hope she is not in danger by taking this antibiotic?

It matters to me.  If I catch you in a lie, then I don't trust your motivations to be here.  Don't expect me to respond to your posts again.  You are very cavalier about your deceptions.  That is even more bothersome.  I won't help who I don't trust.

I agree with Gretchen, why lie here...weather we have been diagnosed or not, we all don't feel good.....

come on, what does it matter, really?
its just myself/people i am referring to, i just wanted advice on a medical matter, why would something as minor as changing the scenario from myself to my sister be such a huge issue?

it is still all relevant advice i am seeking relating to MS/Lyme disease.

I might even be a woman, how would this affect what i am requesting help with?

Gretchen, what other possible motivations could i have besides medical help?
please tell me how i could benefit in any other way from asking my question? taking over the country? stealing money?
