I had one part of my evoked potentials test today, the ssep. painful test. Anyway, the tech wrote down some numbers. He kept asking me what side i was weaker on. And repeating the test. i tried to remember them as best as i could, he wrote the word myelin: 1.08 on one. I dunno. When i asked him what he thought, he said he could not tell me. I said is it normal, he said "to some extent". I go for the visual and hearing next tuesday....sometimes i hate weekends

I am sorry your test was painful.  It is not suppose to be a painful test.  I didn't experience pain when I had it.  It is too bad you had to do the tests seperate.  I had all of mine run together.  Sensory, auditory and visual all at the same testing facility and one right after another..........and he gave me the results right there.  It is so weird how there is no consisitancy is testing.

Mine was "delayed lower extremeties, failed vision, normal auditory"

I hope you can get the results soon.

I hope so too, i also wish I could have found the numbers on the internet. I was a little concerned how he kept re-doing limbs. And that he was typing alot, and he repeatedly asked me which side i was weaker in, as if it had changed from the five mins previous. And that he wrote the numbers down on paper after. I guess they dont do ssep's frequently locally. The neurologist that i went to that ordered them is about 1.5 hours away from where i live, but for insurance reasons I have all testing done locally. So they do the ssep in the office and the other ones in the hospital, since they are done more frequently locally.
