Hi Everybody,

I'm brand new to this forum, and I have a question about MS and brain atrophy.  When tissue shrinkage is involved, is there any specific part of the brain where this is more common?  For instance, is tissue loss and atrophy in the frontal lobes typical at all in MS?

More later...but for right now, I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could enlighten me on this one!  I've checked all the websites, but none of them address this type of tissue loss specifically.  Thanks very much for the help, and good wishes and courage to everybody out there!-----Keely

Hi Keely,  I am thinking that atrophy depends on where the lesions are in the brain and perhaps the amount of damage they have caused...I am certainly no expert, even though I have had this disease for 5 years.  But I found this site for you if you interested, you could probably search further from there...take care
