Hi, this is my 1st time posting here, I normally post in the Lupus forum.  I have noticed I have alot more of the symptoms of MS.
Here are some examples;  a couple times as I was driving I completely blanked out and could not remember where I was going, this last a few seconds.  The 1st time was a couple of yrs ago, I was on the freeway w/my 2 little girls, all of a sudden I didn't know where to go, I was going to get off on the next exit, but it looked too deserty, (i live in the desert area).  I got off on the next exit, by that time I remembered where I was.  This scared me so much.  I told my PD and she had me do this memory test, she then stated I do have some kind of memory problem.  My DR never did anything more.
In July 06', my right arm slowly started having heavyness feeling w/pain, week later I could not move it. If I tried the pain was so bad. This last for 2 weeks.  I didn't go to DR then, at that time I didn't have any insurance.
My arms I can see the muscles twitching, left arm somedays feels like I have a blood pressure moniter on it, its gets very painful.  I would say like a level 7-8.  Last night I woke up suddenly my whole right leg was shaking, this lasted for 15 secs or so, I fell back asleep.  When I'm sitting down longer then 20mins, my legs become numb, and they hurt too. When I worked, I couldn't remember how to do the tasks for my job, which I had done for last 4 yrs, I would ask my co-wrkr how complete, I couldn't comprehend what a person was telling me, when I would talk them, I felt so dumb. My speech was slurred at times.
Sorry to ramble, I go see my rheumy this month, I now have ins.  I also made an appt w/neuro just in case my rheumy wants to me to see one.  I would like to hear your opinions please.
Thank you,
sunshinesyl

Just a guess. Your symptoms don't sound much like MS. As you know, there can be many things that look alike on the outside, and lupus can do strange things to your body (my mother had lupus...) I think you should be sure to tell your rheumatologist about these incidents, though, and see if there are any explanations he (she?) can offer.

I should add that yes it is possible to have more than one autoimmune disease, so it is possible you could have lupus and MS. But again, the incidents you describe don't sound much like MS.
