Hey Everyone

I just read something from another site that shocked me and i wanted to share it and see what u guys thought of it. It was posted by another member of this site as well, so i hope she doesn't mind my bringing it up here.

I itch on my legs...mostly right...and on my right foot a LOT. It's like something is biting me and when it happens it's all over one area of my leg and foot. I've been so convinced that something was biting me that i've actually gone to the bathroom and looked many times! Nothing's ever there, but as soon as i decide it's nothing and go about my business it's back! Just in little spots...not all over my leg/foot. Same places all the time, but i have to admit it does appear at other places on my body as well at times. Does anyone else have anything like this and could it be neurological? I do have psorisasis, but i can tell u for sure this isn't that. As soon as it stops itching i'm left with only the marks of my scratching..no other sign otherwise. What're u'r feelings about this?

Hi Rhonda,
My neuro (and yours!) tells me those are "nerve" itches.  I get them, too.  Actually quite frequently.  Also, over the weekend, the top of my head was tingling like when your hair stands on end, but it wasn't!!

All those damaged areas of either brain or the nerves themselves cause some weird symptoms!!

I had unexplainable itching last year that lasted for months. My chest and my arms and my legs itched, but there was never anything there.

I also had a small area on my hand that felt like there was a hair being brushed over it. That went on for awhile and like to have drove me nuts!

I've also had the bug bite feelings too. I thought I had fleas, but that was impossible.

Hmmm. That was one of my very first complaints last year. Hot, itchy feet! I would wake up in the middle of the night and I would be scratching my feet. Also, when I was pregnant with my first child my belly itched. It was a non stop itch from about month 7 on.

I really wish I knew where to turn.

Hey Lysha

Mind? I'm GLAD u posted! Geez, seems like the funkiest of symptoms can happen, huh? Who would think 'itching' would be a possible symptom to consider? I've had it off and on for some time now, but just never connected the dots to this other stuff. I'm wondering now what else i may have missed or dismissed to just something weird.

Did u get a definitive answer on the Lyme? Are u taking the meds? I'm sorry this is happening with u and i really hope u get some relief very soon. In u'r position, i'd keep up with the symptoms journal and just have it for u'r records since u can relate to more and more symptoms. Keep posting...u'r input is valuable to us all!

Rhonda,

Well, the test was confusing. I tested positive on current infection (IgM) and negative on past infection (IgG). The lab (Igenex) said I was positive for Lyme. According to CDC standards I was negative for both. I have an appointment with doc Thursday to start abx. I am in denial.

In the begining of my symptoms I took abx for a month solid and then 2 wks later took another round. These weren't wimpy abx, 1000mg a day. I had a severe ear infection.

My hubby is going with me to the appointment to help me decide and listen to all info. It is hard to comprehend sometimes.

Don't want to get into another lyme debate so I am choosing words carefully.

email me if you want, maybe we could compare notes.

It is nice to hear from you!! You have a very caring spirit.

Lysha
