Hey Everyone!

My family and I received the best possible Christmas present today in the form of a letter. As some of u may recall, we've been facing the possibility of my middle daughter having Jr RA. At her first visit with the Rheumy, arthritis was identified in her knees, but due to a recent bout with pnuemonia, new blood work was put off for a few months to allow any bacteria due to the pnuemonia to be eliminated. She saw the doc earlier this month and the doc couldn't even find any evidence of arthritis in her knees! We went ahead and did the blood work and today I got the letter saying she's all clear!!! As of now, NO RA!!!!  Thanks to u all so much for u'r hopes, thoughts and prayers for her...obviously it all helped!

                                                         ~~Merry Christmas to U ALL!!~~

Hey Jenny!

Don't be scared about it at all. The answers u could get may well be something u'r not expecting, but may also put u'r mind to rest. The only thing u CAN do is persue this until u get answers...whether it's the answers u want or not...u need to know and address it. I imagine u'll be put thru some simple in office tests...heel to toe walking, strength testing (where u push as hard as u can with the affected limb(s) against the doc's hand), reflex testing, etc. U may be scheduled for an mri as well. It will all depend on u'r current symptoms and history of symptoms. Just be as open and clear as u can with the doc and try to be patient knowing it may take some time to determine what is happening. MS can mimic so many other things and he'll need to first determine if he even suspects ms and if so, he'll need to eliminate all those other things or dx one of those other things. Hang in there...u'r on the right path in stepping up and being proactive and taking care of u'rself! Good going!! :)
