Hello,
Hope this finds everyone well ( as can be expected ).  I now see a Nuero that specializes in MS.  Bout time.  What happened is my regular Neuro sent me to this doc, cause he could do no more for me.  So I went and saw him.  I'm not crazy.  He belives 98 % that I have MS, or a variant of.  So he sent me home feeling i may be getting close to closure.  Well, 48 hrs ago, I started getting that weird pressure in my spine,ON, electric shocks again in my legs, the feeling that someone was running an ice cube all over my body, and the feeling that my arms wanted to go to sleep.  Keep in my I have had a headache for 5 weeks, non stop.  So, I took a chance and called this new doctors office.  I spoke with his receptionist, and she said I have a NP that works for this doc and she would let him know.  He called back asked a few questions and said this sounds like a flare up.  Told me NOT to go to the local ER, unless it got to unbarable.  Said I needed to go on steroids again.  But he said that the pill form actually makes the symptoms worse, and I needed to do a course of IV steroids.  So he said call first thing Monday morning and he would see what could be done.  They are located 2 hours from me.  Maybe orders can be sent to local doc for it to be done.  But what scares me the most, is what happened the last time I had a so called flare.  I couldn't walk without assistance.  It started the same way, with same symptoms.  I do have another mri scheduled for March 6th, ill be in the machine for 140 minutes...  way long time.....  But that is were everything stands for now.  I'll keep you updated.  Miss you all.

Hugs to you Bonnie, I sure hope this flare doesn't get as severe as your last.  I'm really glad you finally have a doc that listens and is up to caring for you!  Take it easy, rest and get plenty of fluids.

I hope the steroids help.  This new doc may want to move your mri up since you are having a flare now.  Please keep us posted! :-)

Hey Bonnie

I'm so glad u'r new doc seems to be on the ball. Sounds like the whole office is geared towards taking good care of u as well. I hope the steroids help and u'll get thru this flare without the same probs u had last time. I can relate to having a doc far away like u'rs, but if he's as good as mine is then it's worth the trip! Hang in there. It sounds like u'r being well cared for and that's great. Please come let us know how u'r doing as u can. Take good care.

Hi Bonnie,

I'm glad you posted, been wondering how you've been.  I'm sorry you're having problems again, hopefully it won't be as bad as last time sad My husband's neuro is about an hour drive from us but we live like 5 minutes from a local hospital and she makes arrangements to have all his testing and procedures done there.  I hope your neuro can make similar arrangement for you too.  Best of luck with everything and please let us know how everything turns out.  I'll be thinking of you.
