I feel so stupid sometimes. I can't remember words when I'm talking. I find myself staying out of conversations more and more. I just sit there and maybe put in an interjection or two. My daughter is selling GS cookies and I got my aunt's order ready today. She came, picked it up and then called when she got home. I completely screwed up her order and even shorted her a box! Of course, she was fine with it and laughed but I am finding it harder and harder to laugh at myself when these things happen. I normally just chalk it off and go on, but it's getting old.
Just had to vent.
Thanks
Pam

Hey Pam

Don't feel so bad, i think many or most of us here have experienced that. Yes, it's frustrating to say the least, but give it time and know it will likely get better. I have probs with memory and at times word recall or just even getting the words out of my mouth. For me it gets worse at times and other times it's not really a prob at all. The times it's worse...just join in that conv and speak out...act just like what u just said made sense and have a good time with it. ;) It'll leave them shaking their heads wondering what's wrong with them. As far as being able to do things correctly...well my 12 yr old helps a lot with things like that. Again, i don't have probs all the time, but when i do i rely on her and she's more than willing to help. In other words, find something/someone to lean on. Get a cork board and make notes...whatever u have to in order to make order for u'rself. I'm sorry u'r dealing with this, but take comfort in knowing there are ways to make the most of it, even have some fun with it. :) Take care!!

Thanks Rhonda.
I just feel that I am alienating myself more and more these days. I can laugh at myself sometimes but not lately. I've been getting cluster migraines since last thursday too, so that certainly doesn't help matters.
I know there's a light out there somewhere

One thing I bought was a small tape recorder that fits in my purse. I can use it whenever I really need to remember something and play it back later.  It has helped quite a bit.

I make lots of notes, too but I forget to look at them!!  LOL!  Since multitasking is something very hard for me anymore I try to do one thing at a time and really focus on it and to try and not rush with anything.

Believe me you are definately not alone!!  I am surely an MS head!

Hey Pam,
I hear ya. Same thing here. I was selling Avon for a while and completly messing up so I stopped. Working in a hospital lab requires multitasing, some days are good others are not. Looking for something else before they can me. At home is another story, I start a project, say kitchen duty, stop for a potty break and forget what I was doing and start something else and on and on it goes. My boyfriend says now he can't tell if it was a blonde moment or MS moment LOL.

We laugh but it is so frustrating for sure, sometimes talking is like having cotton in your mouth and what comes out is all jarbled. Hang in there and try to take it slow and really try to focus as Michelle says.

thanks. I used to be able to carry a conversation and remember what I read in the paper or saw on the news.
thanks for the tips and empathy!
