Hey Everyone

I have this really odd question. Has anyone ever noticed HYPER-reactive reflexes...as in really light weight feeling legs. Lately i've not had heavy legs as usual, but almost bouncy legs. Like i go to pick them up to walk and they're not just not heavy...they're really light and hyper in movements. Make sense??

Rhonda,

First thing that comes to my mind is... Are you on any new drugs? Can I have some of those?hahaha

I haven't heard of this but you know... not dx. Maybe someone else will be along soon. I guess I would not having the heavy feeling.

Sorry not much help here but my thoughts are with you.

Yes...reflexes can be affected in both ways. It will depend on what muscle groups are affected at any given time. If this is new, you should note it, and tell your doctor about it when you next visit.

YES - Rhonda! I have been experiencing this for the last couple of weeks too! It feel as though what I would think walking on lily pads on a pond. Jello like and not steady, very light feeling. Sometimes it takes me a minute to make sure my feet are touching the ground.

I swear it must be something with our weather, you're not too far from me! Hang in there.

Oh I'm sorry, maybe it's Kimber I'm thinking of. The noodle comment that I made on your bday was from a chat night thing too, but now that I think back I think we were wondering where you were that night... Sorry my memory is horrible!

Yeah, I thought cold was good for MS patients, it seems I feel worse when it's cold and damp. But I guess we'll see what happens when summer gets here. :o)

Hey Denda!

U know what?? I do have probs with cold and used to have more obviouse prbs wth cold, but lately it's reversing or at least more with heat. Seems it's as u said...we'll see what the summer brings.

I was wondering about the noodle thing! Guess i better be in chat next time! No worries on the memory...i'm SO with u and can understand!!! I think it was kimber u were thinking of. I believe she is u'r neighbor. Take good care and maybe we'll both have a good summer in the heat. ;)

Hi Rhonda (Happy birthday, by the way!)

I haven't noticed my legs being lighter in weight, but my reflexes are definitely hyperactive.  My husband can walk by while I'm sitting with my feet up in my recliner and just brush the bottom of my foot and my leg jerks so hard that I almost knock myself over.

And sometimes when I'm standing still, it feels like I'm bouncing (I think that's from my constant tremor/vibration though.)

Hugs,

Lisa ~

Hey Lisa!

Thanks for the birthday wishes! U know that's interesting what u say. I've noticed many times that the ordinary jumping and jerking will be exaggerated at times...as if a normal jump...and i mean normal for everyone...will be bigger than it should be. This is anywhere on me, tho mostly in my legs. Hummm...are we on to something here??

Rhonda,

Hi!  I have had hyper reflexes for years.  The last time a dr. tested my reflexes especially in my right leg I almost knocked him and me off our repective chairs.  (He almost got kicked in a bad spot).  Sometimes it's so hyper just a touch will set it off.  My nephew used to tap my knee just to watch my leg jump so hard.  I never knew that maybe this had something to do with the ms.  Interesting.

((hugs to all))
