Hi guys,

not sure if this is MS related or not.....but wondering if anyone else has any ideas about it???

I get incredibly itchy skin on my legs, particularly my calves,  and I also am getting 'bruised' feelings where there is no bruise.....both of these symptoms come and go, sometimes after a matter of minutes, and other times they last a few days.  They do tend to coincide with my other symptoms flaring up.....when I'm tired, hot or stressed.

More of an annoyance than an actual problem....but curious to see if anyone else has these things.

Cheers

AH, itchy legs. I can definitely relate! One of my first symptoms was itchy feet! Sometimes it crawls up to my calves. It is definitely bothersome. I have not found anything helpful. I also get charlie horses or the bruised feeling in my calves. I try to ignore these problems as much as possible. It is never good to scratch especially when I know it is not a "real" itch!

I know this didn't help any other than to let you know that you are not alone.

Hi .Kas,
I get the itchies alot in my hands and up into my elbows where i feel like i want to cut off my hands. It drives me bananas. The only thing that helps me is putting them under cold water for a few secs, that seems to relieve it for me. But thats my hands, i dont know about putting your legs in cold water, burrr. We discussed this on another topic, but i don't remember which one, i will look around for ya, maybe there are other tips there for ya. As far as the bruising, no. I feel like i got run over by a truck sometimes, but sporatic bruising, no. LOL
See ya

Hi Kas,

Sorry about the itching, hope its not driving you too batty!  Itching is one of those abnormal sensory sensations some people get.  It's in the same catagory as the pins and needles and burning types of sensory problems.  If it seems to be associated with other symptoms then it might be MS related.

The bruising but no bruise, yes!  Sometimes it feels like someone socked you a good one but nothing's there.  Don't have an explanation for that one, maybe someone else will?  Just letting you know you're not alone with these issues.
