It was only recently that I learned that the tightness and squeezing feeling we can get is called an MS Hug. What an adorable name! Adorable and slightly ironic. :) Anyway, I have had these before and, while very uncomfortable, there was no pain. It just felt like my bra was on really really really tight, even if I wasn't wearing one.

Lately, however, I have been experiencing a similar feeling, but on the inside of my body instead of on the outside. It feels like all the organs in my chest and torso are being squeezed. And when I breathe, it feels like a sumo wrestler is on my chest...pressure and pain. The pain is not severe, but it is enough to double me over.

It usually goes away within a few hours, or at least by the end of the day. Before when I had the "MS Hug", it lasted for almost a month. I'm mystified.

Has anyone else ever experienced this? Is this an MS Hug or is this something completely different?

I've felt something like that, not quite as severe, just below my ribs. when I had what turned out to be my first exacerbation the "hug" was what was unbearable. It went away after weeks of myofascial release massage.
