Has anyone here had problems with water retention?  Is this a common thing with MS?  I had to go to my PCP and he prescribed a diuretic and potassium chloride.  I had been gaining weight over the last 3-4 months and did not realize it was water gain.  Only after I noticed that my feet had swelled and I could no longer see my ankles did I realize this.  My PCP did an EKG (negative), had a sonogram done on my legs to check for blood clots (negative) and today I'm going in for blood work (to test for liver damage amongst other things).

My feet and legs are numb because of MS, so when this weight gain started it through me off and the numbness combined with everything else dealing with MS got me a little confused.

I did find out through reading up on water weight gain that alot of people who are overweight are overweight due to water retention.

Thanks,
Jim
