hi everyone!! I had my 6 month check up this morning....guess I didn't pass the neuro tests, lol ...doc wants a new MRI. He suspects some new plaque....and so do I. He did start me on cymbalta. He said he has had some luck with it relieving pain in m.s. patients. I am always nervous about starting a new med, but willing to try anything. It could be the one for me.Has anyone here had much experience with cymbalta?? I would love to hear from you.

Hey Marmie!!

Wow...i don't know how i missed u'r post for so long, but i did! I'm sooo glad u'r doc is ordering a new MRI and is right on to taking steps in giving u good care. Yes, i've used Cymbalta and still do. It's been just great for me! To me it seems to help with many of the symptoms i've been having. None of them seemed to just go away, but for sure they leveled off and were better. I started out on 30mg per day for a week and then moved up to 60mg and that's what i'm on now. I'm not sure about it helping with pain...i haven't noticed help with that...but otherwise it does seem to be good for me. I hope u have wonderful sucess with it and will let us know how u'r doing on it as well as how the mri's turn out. Take good care of u'rself!

Thanks Rhonda!! The cymbalta has been a little rough to get used to, but I am still taking it. It has evened out and I am feeling some better.I am so glad to hear that you are having success with it. I hope I will, too.I have started on the 30mg, but will move to 60mg in another week. It would be awesome if it can reduce some of the symptoms. Thanks again for the reply!!

Hi Marmie,

I know what you mean about starting new meds, let's hope the Cymbalta works wonders for you!    I don't have any experience with that med but please let us know if it works for you.  Have they scheduled your MRI yet?

I tried Cymbalta.  Didn't like it.  Too many side effects for me, especially anxiety.  I hope it works for you though.-  Jim
