Just wanted to say hi to everyone.  Just got back from Alaska.  Had a great time.  Very relaxing except for me somehow contracting shingles a week or so prior...

Wondered what was going on, my leg and belly was really itching in Seattle, then once we got to our hotel in Anchorage it was almost unbearable.  Yanked off the clothes and noticed I had what I thought at that time as hives all over my upper right leg and right torso.  Within a couple hours of air hitting the buggers, blisters started forming!  Unbelievable.  Believe it or not, my hubby and I just started laughing, thanking the good Lord that the plane didn't crash on our way there since my luck is so bad lately.  But w/a call to my neuro and then OK to double (even triple if I needed to) my neurontin, we were good to go.  (90 miles in the heart of Denali, it's kind of hard to find a pharmacy!) I was pretty stoned most of the trip, but I remember most of it... I think... ;o)

I've been reading up on the posts and putting my 2 cents in here or there.  Talk to you all later!

Hi Denda,

Welcome back!!  Sounds like you had a wonderful time, despite the shingles!  My goodness, I hope they are all cleared up for you now??  Would love to hear more about your trip sometime.

No problem Lynn! ;o) Gretchen should be back this weekend, I think.

For the shingles, they don't hurt at all, but the area that I had them on is very discolored and still itches.
