I started cymbalta yesterday and experienced nausea and some cold chills. Also could not sleep last night even though I took it at noon.  Today, I took the pill with breakfast. I am not quite as nauseated, but I am freezing. This is a weird sensation becuase I've been really hot up until yesterday.  Has anyone else had a problem with this, and have they gone away?

Barb,

I started Cymbalta about 3 weeks ago.  I also can't sleep, don't get chills though, I just sweat like crazy which is easy to do on its own in Arizona this time of year.  I am also getting up to pee 3-4 times a week.  Others that have been on Cymbalta longer told me most of the symptoms go away after a while.  I am going to question my neuro on Monday.  Because I believe she gave it to me for the nerve pain which I still have and want to know how long we wait before we know if this will work for me or not.  Hope that helps.

Hey Barb

Geez...i'm sorry. U seem to be having a rough go of this new med. I've not seen any side effects that include chills or being cold. I sent u some links and hopefully they'll help. Hang in there friend and maybe give u'r doc a call on this. At least let them document it on u'r chart. Take good care!

I have not taken the cymbalta today.

Yesterday was rough; besides being nauseated and cold, I developed tremors in my hands and had a horrible headache.  I just laid on the sofa most of the day and stared at the ceiling.  Felt really out of it.  And then, once again I could not sleep.

The headache is gone today, and the nausea and tremors are not as bad.  Cold chills have also subsided.

I'm going to call my doctor tomorrow and see what they think.

Hey Barb

Geez..getting worse. Do u think u could be beginning a flare?? Seems u'r having some odd symptoms to be side effects, but then again, we all react differently to meds. Good idea to call the doc and getthe word from them. Let us know how u'r doing friend. I'm glad u'r better today!
