Hi guys,

I said I'm come back and let you know how the Florida trip went, well it was awesome!  For 7 days I was a kid again with few worries besides having fun.

I must say I would not have made it halfway through day one without my scooter and canopy, and my cooling scarf!!  They were all MANDATORY.  My gawd it was humid.. which I knew it would be but feeling it was still a shocker.  I took the first full day there off to nap and rest which allowed me to join everyone every other day.   Make-a-Wish is such a great organization, they thought of everything, and paid for it too!  My nephew had a great time and I am so thankful I got to be right there to share it with him.

Here are some pics!

WOOHOOOO SHAR!!!!

I love u'r pics!!! Especially the one of u kissing eeyor (sp). He's so cool!! I"m so glad u guys had a good time! It looks like u did a lot...and i LOVE u'r scooter!! Is that u'r personal scooter? Way cool with the canopy! Yes, it's very humid down in FL and will be that way for several more months. I"m so glad u took u'r cooling supplies and also that u took that day to just rest. It really does take a lot out of u to get around the different parks in that heat, but adding to that the trip down to FL for u and then the MS, well u know the rest of that story! It's so good to see u back too friend...now go rest! ;)

The intense humidity in the south (I lived in Savannah, GA for 8 years) was one compelling reason that we moved away. It seemed to be like that year round for me...hot, humid, even in winter, when we ran around in short sleeves and everyone else bundled up in heavy coats! It was 50 degrees on one chilly day, and folks seemed to think they would FREEZE!

Anyway...I'm glad you had a good time, and good advice about the scooter, canopy and scarf. All "must haves" in that kind of weather!

Hey Shar,

Thanks for posting.  I was thinking about you and how you were doing.  I loved looking at your pics.  Very cool.  Your nephew is adorable and so are you.  You are an inspiration.  I know you were worried about this trip and you did it.  You went and you had a great time and you managed all the challenges of that trip like a pro.  I am proud of you!

Love and prayers,

Thanks guys! Rhonda, we rented the scooters... although I wished I could take mine home afterwards for big days out, what a great little machine.

Uppity I dont know how you managed for 8 years in that kind of climate, wow, and ICK. On a sidenote, my neuro may be taking me off Betaseron because of quality of life damaging fatigue and all the infections I've had this year. Off to see an infectious disease specialist, then I guess she'll decide... may go onto Copaxone. I really think the Betaseron has slowed down my relapses though, only had 2 minor new flares this year on it.

Gretchen, thanks! You are such a sweet person. :)

Take care all
Shar

Hi Shar,

I just want to say again how happy I am that you had such a good trip (esp the dolphin part…lol). I hadn’t seen the dolphin pics before…I love them! It certainly is hard not to smile while hanging out with dolphins. Now that your docs are working on the whole fatigue and infection mess, it really sounds like you are heading in the right direction J.

Hi Shar,

Wow I really enjoyed the pictures!  I'm so glad you had a good time and figured out a way to both rest and enjoy yourself.
