Please include flchurchlady in all of your thoughts and prayers and good wishes and send her any positive vibes you can spare.

She was admitted thru the ER to ICU yesterday.  CT shows some sort of kink in the intestine, or adhesions, causing a blockage.  The pain medicine and NG tube is helping some, but she is in a great deal of pain.  She has had a wee bit of output late today, which is a good sign.

I too have been in her shoes so I know the pain she's in and just want to send her lots of hugs and prayers for a speedy recovery.  I thought maybe you all may have wondered where she has been.

Oh no, I hope everything is okay. Did she contact you, Peggy? Please let her know she'll be in my thoughts and prayers. She's such a sweet woman who has helped me(and several others) a ton. It breaks my heart knowing she's dealing with this right now. Please keep us posted if you hear anything!

Ash,
She called me Tuesday night with some questions because she was in so much pain and nauseous. This was the first time that she has experienced any type of obstruction/blockage. I have had obstructions and was able to talk with her.

Cecilia called again this evening about 9:30.  She is still doing about the same tho the latest xray today showed the blockage is a little smaller.  She actually has been able to get up and walk a little too, which should help if she can tolerate it.

She said she'd buzz me tomorrow .... I told her that I would read you all's responses here  to her on the phone.

BTW ---She told me to tell everyone hello.

Thanks Peggy for letting us know. Please tell Cece I am praying for her doctors to be able to find a quick solution and for her body and mind during this time. I'm so sorry she is having to deal with this.

Sending all my love.

Do the doctors think she'll need to have surgery?

It's great she had your number Peggy. The relationships here are so valuable.

I called Cece a little while ago but we could only chat a few minutes.  She said that she is hearing a lot more gurgling and her output is NOT pure water --- it has floaties!  We got to giggling about that.  She said she is not in as much pain.  I told her that the extra gurgling and floaties are definitely a good thing!  Hopefully, everything will "let loose" soon.  The doctors are xraying her daily and she hears from them in the evenings.  The obstruction is improving a little every day.

I will try to buzz her later to see what today's xray showed, and to read her all of your comments/posts.    She is keeping a real positive attitude.  I would expect nothing less from her -- that is truly just Cece at heart.    I did tell her earlier that there were lots of posts and everyone missed her --- she told me to tell ya all thanks for thinking of her.
