Hey everyone,

I see lots of new names on the topic threads. Guess I've been gone too long, I don't recognize most of them, hehe. I've been enjoying life post-temp ileostomy for the most part. I've been working a contract job, just got married, and have finally been cleared for my second surgery in July after my last JP drain was removed recently. So yah, skipped a couple of months here on the board but now I'm back from honeymooning etc and felt the need to drop in. I'm really excited to get this final surgery completed and finish this chapter in my life and move on. I am concerned however with the recovery time post-op in terms of BM frequency as I start school in September. I also had a few severe complications after the first surgery and am a bit anxious to be returning to the hospital. I have my contrast x-ray in two weeks or so to make sure everything is healed up nicely and then its off I go again. I hope everyone here on the board is doing well. I also wanted to say that after struggling for 3 months after my initial surgery and subsequent complications I cannot stress that this was the best decision I could have made in regards to dealing with my UC. If any one is having doubts or problems in deciding on how to go about making this decision feel free to talk to me! But anyway, thats enough for now, time to go write thank you notes....and more thank you notes....lol.

Congrats Carlow!!!  It is so good to hear that you are doing so well, even considering the complications you had.  Keep your chin up and do keep us all updated on the next step.  Good to see your post!
