I used to feel this, too. I thought perhaps my wafter was too tight but it wasn't. Eventually, the discomfort subsided. I still have no idea of the whys and whats caused it.

How long had you had your ileostomy when this happen to you. I have had my ileostomy for about six and a half months. Was doing good untill this started up.
Whatl dido you eat? Did you have trouble putting on weight after you had the sergury? Sorry for so many questions. Really have no one to ask and my Dr. is just a GP who is trying hard to help me.
Thanks Jan,

I can't really remember how long I had my ile. before it happened. It was probably a few months but I'm not certain. I know I was close to the year mark before I started to feel 'normal' and felt healed. As for eating, I just ate whatever I wanted. Weight came on easy for me (too easy!) but I'm a junk food junky so I'm sure that had something to do with it. In addition to the junk food, the doc scraped my innards and the pain was unbearable for the first few months and I felt no desire to move from the couch. It took months (probably over a year) for my stools to 'thicken' even when I ate rice, bananas, etc. Please, never feel that you ask too many questions.

Hey...have u guys been chewing enough? I know sometimes I 4get I have this thing when I'm engrossed in my eating, and then I get the sensation bc my food isn't fully digested. How is it coming out? Are u seeing chunks of food when u empty?
