I could mean a lot of different things...are you still in the hospital? Have you let your nurse know? Your bowels need time to wake up and they might not be ready yet...

feeling icky is normal, you are on pain meds probably which can upset your stomach, you are probably not going to be very hungry, but not eating can make you feel sick. Ask your dr for some phenogren or zofran (not sure if i spelled those right, lol) that will help you feel less sick and then you will be able to eat, which will also help!

It could also be from the anesthesia. I had some nausea when I was in the hospital and when I came home. There are prescriptions your doctor can give you for it. Phenegrin is one that helps with nausea. I had my loop ileostomy July 23, 2007. Sometimes I get mild blockages that can cause abdominal pain. My doctor called me in a prescription for Nulev Tabs 0.125MG. They dissolve in your mouth and work instantly.

Good luck!
