Has anyone had a problem with Convatec closed bags with filter? I was so excited about the prospect of an easier way to handle changing bags. To me throwing away a closed bag would be so much easier and "cleaner." Well not. I have a round leakage right where the filter is located, and I don't have the same problem with the drainable bag.

I called Edgepark about this problem and the customer service person said that having an ileostomy might be the problem. With an ileostomy, the output is too liquid, causing the output to ooze through the filter. She did say Edgepark would send me another box to try in case the first box was defective. There must have been some misunderstanding though because I received another box of the drainable type with a filter. Getting the right equipment is a pain.
