I hope your ok though and not loose to much . i had my surgery on june 20th and for the past 2 days now i am hurting. not sure what is going on . but i am trying to tuff it out. cool  Hopestar thats great to hear - i am soo pleased for you too!!

yes let us hear more info about the surgery and it would be good to have lots of info for those like me who have yet to have the total colectomy. yeah

How old are you by the way, and how long did you have the colonic inertia ?

best wishes. karen
1997: Diagnosed IBS
2003: Pelvic floor repair surgery
2006: STARR surgery for mucosal prolapse/Obstructive Defaecation Syndrome.  Also diagnosed with slow transit
2007: No difference. Had MRI scan showing a partial volvulus
2007: Therefore surgeon recommended a sigmoid resection which resulted in immediate colonic inertia
2008: Now contemplating colectomy as I need to take up to 30 senna tablets daily for some kind of bowel movement (albeit not 'normal' or all at once).  In discomfort/pain most days.

Scared to have TC as told I could become incontinent - but looking to have surgery before end of year hopefully

I hope your nausea gets better. Sometimes I swear there's nothing worse than that; it's one of the worst feelings in the world.

Are you eating and drinking enough?

I'm not quite sure what 'tube' you are referring to...

Keep hangin' in there! I'm sure you'll get stronger every day!
