Well it will be 4 weeks since my temp. illeostomy was done and I still have no idea  what I can and cannot eat.  Can I have a regular slice of pizza?  I've eaten manicotti and regular pasta with sauce with no problem.  I've also eaten pasta with garlic and oil with no problem.  Can I eat chinese food if it's not spicy?  I know I can't eat the vegetables.  What do you guys eat out there.  I fel like a weirdo.  Also anybody out there had an ileostomy reversal and can give me advice on what to expect afterwards.  Thanks

bella,
I just saw my surgeon this past Tuesday on 9-2 because I had a total colectomy on aug. 7th, 2008. He told me that no 2 people are the same when it comes to what foods we can tolerate and what foods we can not. I can not tolerate "junk" foods, and can only tolerate chicken, fish, canned veggies, canned fruits, egg beaters, and jello, basically the "healthy' foods. He even admitted that to me when I asked about foods and thats when he told me that. he also said that it is basically up to me and my body to figure out what I can and can not eat and that it would take a while to figure that out, but I pretty mcuh tried everything, so I am pretty much all set about what I can and can not tolerate.
