Ok, so my surgery is Monday for my TC and I have to start my liquid diet on Sunday.  I hate the liquid diet!  I was wondering what sorts of things you all have eaten when on the liquid diet.  It doesn't have to be clear liquids because they are just removing the colon, they don't need to see in it, but I can't have creamy things like cream soups.  Any suggestions as to things that might be good?  I'm hoping someone might have some ideas that are better than mine... confused

First off....good luck with your surgery. I'm sure you'll be fine. As far as liquids go, it sounds like soups, broths, and juices would be your menu for the day. However, if it was me...I'd gorge myself with all the "fun" foods you can tolerate on Saturday!!!

2 ris k,
Jello is the best thing. It helped fill me up and it tastes great. I would have any color except red, because when you have your cleansing, it would come out red if you ate red jello. I recommend mixing lemon jello, and green lime jello together. Yummy. Anyway, good luck with your surgery. I hope everything goes well.I can't wait til you come back and tell us how it went. best of luck.

I love miso soup. I just don't eat the onions. It isn't supposed to have anything in it, so I don't feel as "cheated". LOL.
If at first you do not succeed, then skydiving is surely not meant for you.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I'm definitely going to do the jello thing. Also, I've decided to get some normal soups (not broths) and just drink the broths from the soups. I don't like the plain chicken broth or beef broth; the regular soups have more flavor.

drinking the broth from the vegetable beef soup is much better than drinking beef broth.
I have to say this though, i am sure you have done this before, but i find that the things that i used to take the meds with and stuff, and the things that i ate alot of for cleanings i can't stand now.
I cannot stand jello (except possibly lime with vodka, lol) and last time, before my surgery i used lemonade to take the pills with and i can't drink that now, and i can't even look at beef broth.

Don't forget to eat some popsicles! Good luck with your surgery.

Summerstorm--before I checked to see who wrote the above post I just knew it was you! (it was the jello/vodka comment--had to laugh!!)
