So i went to the dentist today (got a hole in my tooth, not cool!) and i had to fill out the paper that says list surgeries, so i put, ostomy, well the tech, the one who cleans your teeth and stuff, says, "what does that say?" and i say, ostomy, and she doesn't know what it is, so i explain it to her, and she is like, "that is so cool, so you never have to use the bathroom again?" i say, nope it's really rather convenient.  She asks if my pee goes in there too, and says that would really be awesome, lol.  I tell her no.  then she wants to know what i do during summer to wear a bathring suit, i say i just wear one, not a bikini but i wouldnt' wear one anyway, she says, it doesn't show? i pick my shirt up and show her my pants and how you can't see it, and she is like wow you really can't see it!  So she is like totally amazed.  I am thinkign this is kind of funny, lol.  A little while later she says how long can you go without emptying it? i tell her i usually empty when i pee but i can go up to 8 hours at times. I think she thought this is the most awesome thing she had ever heard of, lol. So much for being worried about telling them.

Summer - I'm so happy for you and proud of you for taking that first step!  smilewinkgrin  So far, everyone I've told has been accepting of it, too. My hubby even wishes he had one!

Sorry about your tooth, though...

There are a few other people in my office that has either CD or UC. So we can all vent to each other - I'm the only one that is not on meds for active disease.
