I can eat corn (I have an ileo), but I know alot of people have problems with it...My fear is that it will cause a blockage, so I eat it in moderation. You may want to try eating a smaller portion next time (if you try it again!!) to see if that is more tolerable. Good Luck

hi ohio, didn't have a large portion just in case, but will take what you said onboard and have even less next time, i do love corn, and it was so tasty, so i will just have it once in a blue moon.

thanks for the advice

Everyone's reactions to foods will be different and also take in consideration that we all have different new plumbing. I have a jpouch and can eat anything and rarely get blockages. Corn would not fly out of me today, 7 years post surgery, but in the first year or so my transit time was quicker. Try to concentrate on eating a healthy diet with a lot of variety. You won't know what affects you adversely unless you try it. Just because some people with your surgery type can't eat some things, it doesn't mean that you can't.

so very true sue bear, i did do the food diary but then also went on the low residue been a while since i finished. But yeh like i said no pain, so maybe it is a good thing, and the fact that i felt empty is a bonus, but then i have quite wet oats before bed every night and that does the trick for me, where i was told not to eat it, but i tried and it is magic !!!!! lol xxx
