Peggy,

I had my ileostomy redone Sept. 29th in Cd'A and so far I'm doing good. Was in hospital for 4 days and have been staying with my sister this past month.

Been keeping up with everyone and was wondering if anyone has hearh how 2 RiskY (Amanda) is doing?

I have a good caring Doctor that sees me every week. He is so verry nice and calls right back when I call his office.

Will be going home in the next week.

Hope your husband is doin good. Jan,

Jan,

So glad to hear that you are doing good and have had a good recuperation/visit with your sister. Are you feeling stronger each day? How's your diet? Been keeping up on your fluids? It always puts your mind at ease to have a good relationship with your doctor - and esp, one that will return calls and answer ALL your questions. Makes recovery a little easier.

I haven't been keeping up very well reading all of the posts... so I don't know how 2 RiskY (Amanda) is doing.

Thanks for asking about my husband. His symptoms are progressing unfortunately. He is loosing muscle mass by the day but has continued working at his job tho on a limited schedule. He has plenty of sick time to cover his time off, but he is beginning to get frustrated with not being able to do things he used to do. I keep telling him, "Use your brains, not your back!" I've always been a small person, not able to lift a lot, etc. But I find ways to get things accomplished. He is learning some of my ideas!!!

We are within a week or so of having our final inspection done on our new home (DH has a few things to get done before inspection), so that we can move in. I actually moved 2 storage bins of linens I had stored in the attic. I had my new washer and dryer delivered today so I washed and dried them at the new house and put them in the linen closet! That was exciting. I've been washing windows, sweeping floors/register vents, washing inside and outside of cabinets, installing under/over cabinet lighting in kitchen, tiling bathroom, you name it!!

I've lost several pounds since the first of the year. Stress does that to me, but hopefully I will be able to gain some of it back over the winter!

Keep me updated on how you are doing.
Peggy
